• Yield: High 85%+, With a natural product like leather, there can be areas with neck and back wrinkles, veins, scars, bites, loose grain, but in general this article can expect an overall high cutting area. Double Butts also increase the cutting yield due to having no bellies where most the defects and loose grain are located. If you require large cuts for bigger products like totes, duffles, etc., we recommend whenever possible ordering a full hide. This leather being full aniline (meaning the leather is very natural with no extra finishing on the surface to hide any flaws) darker colors will better hide any areas of concern. A key skill of using full aniline leather is the ability to work less desirable areas of the hide into the less visible areas of your projects.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Original Calf Suede is the top of the line full grain calf suede. It is tanned and finished in Italy with highest quality hides from the alps regions of Europe. The leather is full grain cut from the whole hide without bellies. This ensures a high cutting yield from the  densest area of the hide 

Being full grain the grain side is still attached, this allows for no lining to be necessary. The leather is chrome tanned and dyed completely though with some of the most vibrant colors available. The leather is buffed with a nice soft finish for the most luxury of feels and will be a great choice for higher-end projects. The leather is a bit thicker at 2.0mm (5oz) which gives the hides a nice body for totes, bags, shoes, boots and more.
