DS-096 The Octopus Wallet Digital Pattern

The Octopus Wallets is a modular wallet PDF pattern to create two variations of a Japanese style bifold short wallet. One with a coin and card pockets and big cash compartment and one with focus on more cards’ capacity without a coin pocket. It is an advanced skill level leather wallet template that provides also a learning opportunity for those that never crafted a design like that. The Baby Octopus Wallet leather pattern is the third easier version of the wallet that requires intermediate skill level and that skips the dedicated cash compartment leaving the option to carry folded cash while keeping the coin pocket functionality.

Dimensions: 11/8cm (~4.3/3.2 inches)
Leather:
> 1-1.2mm thickness (2.5-3.0oz) for the interior parts
> 1.4-1.6mm thickness (3.5-4oz) for the exterior.

The Octopus – cards, cash & coins
Capacity: up to 6 cards, coins and unfolded cash
Skill level: Advanced
Pattern specific tools/materials:
> 3mm and 15mm hole punches
> 1 snap button up to 12.5mm (1/2in) cap size

The Octopus – cards & cash

The Baby Octopus
Capacity: up to 6 cards, coins and folded cash

Basic Instructions
Print pattern at 100% scale and verify size using the Print Accuracy Test. Measure and cut on the outside edge of the lines. Make sure to review the Assembly Instructions PDF file in full before commencing with the build. The stitch holes are spaced at 4mm and 4mm away from the edges unless mentioned otherwise on the patterns.
