DS-095 The Envelope Wallet Digital Pattern

This is a leather wallet pattern of the Envelope Wallets. The Single versions holds 8 cards and folded cash OR you can use it as cash and coins or only coins case. In the Double version, we'll sew two Envelope Wallets back to back, aligning the grain sides of the leather, and connecting them with a stitch box as indicated on the pattern. This design doubles the capacity, allowing one wallet to hold up to 10 cards while the other stores cash and coins. I find this version especially useful during family vacations abroad, where you can keep local currency separate from your own. We often use one wallet for cards, cash, and coins, and the other for our apartment or hotel key - it's very practical. This double version also works well as a compact everyday wallet that fits into small purses while offering ample storage. Using different leathers for each wallet adds a unique, eye-catching touch too. The leather wallet template allows for diverse leather combinations and its single version compact size makes it suitable for front pocket carry. You can also make the Envelope Wallet even faster, no-sew project if you skip the Card Pocket in the single versions.

Leather: 1-1.2mm thickness (2.5-3oz), medium to stiff temper
Pattern specific tools/materials:
>> 2mm, 3mm and 4mm hole punches
Single snap version
>> 1 x snap button up to 12.5mm in diameter (1/2inch)
Single button stud version
>> 1 x button stud with 4.5-5mm head
Double version
>> either 2 snap buttons or 2 button studs as mentioned above
Basic Instructions
> Print pattern at 100% scale and verify size using the Print Accuracy Test.
> Measure and cut on the outside edge of the lines.
> Note: stitching holes in the pattern are 3mm from the edge and spaced at 4mm, however illustrative in nature. You can use other spacing based on your pricking irons or stitching chisels, or aesthetic preferences.
