DS-067 The Bilander Bag Wallet Digital Pattern

This is a leather PDF pattern to create a cross-body bag that would be a perfect gift for teenagers. The Bilander leather bag is a light-weight turned bag made from a single panel of leather. The Bag is designed for cross-body or on-shoulder carry, and it can hold everyday essentials. As an example, my daughter carries in hers a phone, keys, a compact wallet (The Lobster wallet), a lip balm, a small mirror (she is a teenager!) and a pack of paper napkins. A summery bag with a unique design and youth vibes! The leather PDF template includes pattern to make an adjustable leather strap. THE BILANDER BAG

Bag dimensions:
20cm by 13cm (7.9in by 5.1in) for the closed part
Skill level: Advanced
Leather:
> 1.6-2.0mm thickness (4-5 oz), must be soft temper. Skiving down to 1.6mm along the stitch line edges is required if the leather is thicker than 1.6mm (4oz).
> You will need a 36/22cm (14.5/9in) leather panel for the bag
> 2-2.2mm thickness (5-5.5oz), 16mm (5/8 inches) wide for the strap

Strap Options
> Buckle Strap - requires 16mm (5/8 inches) center bar buckle (also known as whole belt buckle). This one is with adjustable length. You will need 4 strap pieces that are 16mm (5/8 inches) wide: 1 x 40cm (~16in), 1 x 90cm (~35in) and 2 x 14cm (~5in) long.
> Fixed Length Strap - Fixed Strap A: 1 x strap (your desired length) and 2 x 14cm (~5in) long straps. Fixed Strap B: 1 x Strap (your desired length + additional 18cm (~7in)). For example: If you want the bag strap to be 120cm long, you will need one 120cm+18cm=138 cm long leather strap. Width is again 16mm (5/8 inches).

Pattern specific tools/materials:
> 2mm, 3mm, 4mm, 5mm and 10mm hole punches
> 1 x Button Stud – 8mm cap size - for the closure

Basic Instructions
> Print pattern at 100% and verify size using the Print Accuracy Test. Measure and cut on the outside edge of the lines.
> Stitching holes in the pattern are 3.5mm from the edge and spaced at 3.85mm, however illustrative in nature. You can use other spacing based on your pricking irons/stitching chisels.
> Please read through the Assembly Instructions PDF file before commencing with the build.
