DS-023 The Galleon Wallet Digital Pattern

The Galleon leather wallet pattern is a pdf downloadable leather crafting pattern to create a long wallet with seven card slots, one zipper coin compartment and two banknotes/receipts compartments. It is an advanced skill level wallet template that provides also a learning opportunity for those that never crafted a design featuring vertical card slots behind horizontal ones. The pattern includes full assembly instructions and some pictures to visualize some of the critical steps of the build and features the possibility for two additional variations - adding 2 more card slots to the coin pocket or skipping the coin pocket for a total of 14 card pockets! Bonkers! :)

THE GALLEON WALLET

Dimensions: 20/11cm (~7.9/4.3 inches)

Capacity: 7 card slots, one zipper coin compartment and two bills/receipts compartments

Pattern specific tools/materials:

>> 1 zipper 18cm long (7 inches) with 5mm wide teeth (#5 all purpose zipper as they are referred to)

Skill level: Advanced

Recommended Leather:

> 1.0-1.2mm thickness (2.5-3 oz), medium to soft temper for the interior

> 1.4-1.8mm thickness (3.5-4.5 oz), medium to stiff temper for the exterior

Note: stitching holes in the pattern are 4mm from the edge and spaced at 3.85mm, however illustrative in nature. You can use other spacing based on your pricking irons or stitching chisels, or aesthetic preferences. Zipper and interior center stitch lines are 3mm from the edge.

> Always print at 100% for the pattern to work correctly. Measure and cut on the outside edge of the lines.
